Congratulations to the 2016 United Against Bullying Grant Program Winners

The Real Winners Are the Kids

Safe Fleet is pleased to announce the winners of the 2016 United Against Bullying (UAB) Grant Program. This year Safe Fleet donated $55,000 to applicants who presented the best strategies to stop bullying and inspire kindness in their communities. Over 100 applications were received from school districts, school transportation departments, and non-profit organizations.

Many proposals were well-detailed and very inspiring, making the selections difficult. They included the creation of new anti-bullying awareness and kindness projects, expansion of existing programs, positive behavior recognition, character building, school bus driver training, and purchasing school bus equipment to help reduce bullying incidents.

Thank you to everyone who applied for a grant. United by the cause, we applaud every community for every action taken to keep kids safe and happy.

As one previous Grant winner told us, “The greatest effect of all from their program is the students themselves. We are rewarded knowing that these kids are socially and emotionally empowered.”

Resources for Change

During the three months the Grant Program was open, we featured an anti-bullying organization weekly on social media, AKA Resource Tuesdays. We have summarized these programs for your reference.
